World Broadcast is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at Tower Records in Hollywood, CA, USA on 15 May 1993.

The album was released in Italy by Hawk during 1994.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Tower Records, a retail music chain located at 8801 West Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. The location was closed in December 2006.

This was a midnight performance beamed simultaneously to Hard Rock Cafes in London, Sidney and Tokyo. Tickets to the event could not be purchased and had to be won in a radio station contest.

With the exception of an electronic keyboard played by Nick Rhodes, the show was almost totally acoustic.

The recordings of "Hungry Like the Wolf", "Come Undone" and "Notorious" received official releases as B-sides separately on various "Too Much Information" CD singles. These tracks are also included together on the promo only cassette No Ordinary EP, which was given away free with the "Too Much Information" cassette single in the USA (4KM 0777 7 44955 4 7).

Released as a picture disc CD, the live on-stage presenter who spoke between some of the tracks has been edited out of the recording.
