Wien at Stadthalle '87 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria on 12 May 1987.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Stadthalle, a 16,000 capacity venue designed by Austrian architect Roland Rainer that's located in the 15th district of Vienna. This was the ever show performed by Duran Duran in Austria.

After playing thirty six shows in eleven different countries, the tour reached Austria. Performing in a city famous for many notable musicians such as Johann Strauss I, Falco and Franz Schubert, Duran Duran kicked off with their Austrian no.6 hit single "A View to a Kill".

The Nile Rodgers co-produced "Notorious" followed, with its rich blend of funk.

During the evening, Simon Le Bon asked the audience to please step back, as there was no barrier up front and people were getting crushed.

The CD recording was taken from a cassette and is incomplete, missing the final two songs of "The Wild Boys" and "The Reflex".
