West Hollywood 2000 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, CA, USA on 31 August 2000.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, a 1,000 capacity venue located at 8430 Sunset Blvd. This was the fourth of seven shows performed in the state of California on the tour.

During the band's extended stay in California, Nick and Simon visited John at his place. They discussed the possibility of a reunion of the original five members, telephoning Andy and Roger who were open to the proposition.

Performing without an opening act, Duran Duran catapulted onto the House of Blues stage at 8:00pm for their fourth of six sold-out nights at the venue and launched into "Last Day on Earth".

Nick Rhodes' bubbly sequencer intro to "Hungry Like the Wolf" soon followed, a song which got the crowd singing along.

Original members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, along with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar, played a rousing 90-minute show that featured a selection of their biggest hits, album favorites and songs from their latest release, Pop Trash.

The album also includes the track 'Money', which is just Duran Duran having fun on stage.

Tickets for the event cost around $60.00.
