Dame Vivienne Westwood, (born 8 April 1941 ) is an English fashion designer. She is linked with the Sex Pistols via Malcolm McLaren and their SEX/Seditionaries boutique on King's Road in London during the 1970s, where she designed and sold clothes incorporating BDSM fashion, bondage gear, safety pins, razor blades, bicycle or lavatory chains, and spiked dog collars, helping to launch the then shocking punk fashions of the era.

She went on to work extensively in leading edge fashion design, also helping to create the new wave fashions of the post-punk era.

In 1993, Westwood designed many of the colorful suits and outfits Duran Duran wore during their tour for The Wedding Album, as well as those that appeared in the three videos for that album: "Ordinary World", "Come Undone" and "Too Much Information".
