Video Collection is an unofficial compilation DVD featuring a collection of Duran Duran music videos compiled in chronological order from 1981 to 1997.
About the DVD[]
The DVD begins with "Planet Earth", a video that features band fashion styling by Patti Bell, bought with a budget of £500.
Also included is "The Wild Boys", a video which cost over one million dollars to make, a staggering sum for a music video at the time. In 1985, it was named The Best British Video at the BRIT Awards.
"The Reflex" was shot with Director Russell Mulcahy during The Sing Blue Silver Tour at the Maple Leaf Gardens show in Toronto, Ontario on 5 March 1984. During the Toronto show in April 2011, Simon Le Bon mentioned how that video changed their lives.
The front cover features Duran Duran photography by Richard Haughton. The reverse cover includes photography by Nick Rhodes, with artwork from the Red Carpet Massacre album designed by Patty Palazzo and John Taylor.
