Verizon Wireless Theater: December 5, 2008 is an unofficial Duran Duranlive album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, TX, USA on 5 December 2008.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Verizon Wireless Theater, a 2,400 capacity venue located at 520 Texas Avenue in the Bayou Place entertainment complex in Downtown Houston. This was the third show performed by the band in the state of Texas on the tour.
Scheduled to began at 9.00pm, the concert began with a lightshow and instrumental music from A Clockwork Orange. Duran Duran then appeared on a short stretch of red carpet, with cheers from the audience.
The setlist was slightly different to most of the tour shows, missing the Kraftwerk style electo set which wasn't performed after the Malta concert on the 26 July.
The bootleg features ten songs from the show, including the encore of "Girls on Film" and "Rio".
The opening act for the event was British rock band Your Vegas.
