Valija Diplomatica are a Chilean band formed in Santiago de Chile in 1985, consisting Alejandro Cappeletti , Andres Escalona, Lito Zerené and Memo Sanfurgo.
The band were a support act for Duran Duran in 1993.

Background information[]
Formed in 1985, the band released their debut album Happy Pop Rock in April 1986.
In November 1986, Valija Diplomatica attended the First Latin Rock Festival called Montevideo Rock. In December 1986 their song "Mi life is whorth more", it reaches number one on the charts in Chile, Uruguay, Perú, Ecuador.
In 1987, they recorded "New Times, New Suitcases". Their song "You know it Well", breaks again on local radio and reaches #1 on the Chilean Charts.
In 1987, with new members Carlos Molina on drums and Javier Henriquez on bass they record their last album for EMI-Odeon called Sixth Sense.
