Up Close 2001: March 2 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Up Close and Personal Tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY, USA on 2 March 2001.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Beacon Theatre, a 2,829 venue located on upper Broadway in Manhattan. This was the last of two shows performed in the state of New York on the tour.

Duran Duran, now composed of original members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, along with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar, played a rousing 90-minute show that featured a selection of their biggest hits, album favorites and songs from their latest release, Pop Trash.

The evening featured Nile Rodgers appearing as special guest to play on the last three songs of the show with the band. These songs were "Notorious", "Skin Trade" and "The Wild Boys", all Nile Rodgers co-produced tracks.

Tickets for the evening cost around $50.00.
