Underdog are an Argentinian BritPop band formed in Banfield Argentina by Eddy Caparelli (vocals and acoustic guitar), Guillermo Stöltzing (electric guitar), Mariano Acosta (drums), Walter C (bass and sequences) and Javier Tainta (guitars, bass and keyboards).
The band were a support act for Duran Duran in 2008.
Background information[]
The band compose all their lyrics in English, achievieng a characteristic sound based on the 1960s rock pop and the traditional English pop, taking influences from acts such as Travis, Muse, Coldplay and David Bowie among others.
The band recorded several demos since their beggining and two albums (Utopic 2004 and Privacy 2007) and performed numerous live shows at international level with Duran Duran, Macy Gray and Babasonicos.
Underdog also opened the Echo and The Bunnymen show in the Gran Rex Theater on the second visit that band made to Argentina in 2006. That year Underdog also ended up performing three live sold out presentations at the Santa Maria Theatre, in a show designed and produced by the band called 'Brit Sessions'.
