Trieste: 21-06-2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Piazza Unita d'Italia in Trieste, Italy on 21 June 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Piazza Unita d'Italia, the main town square in Trieste. This was the last of three Italian shows of the tour.
Surrounded by numerous palaces and situated by the Gulf of Trieste, the show began with a hard edged version of "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". After that came Duran Duran's debut single "Planet Earth".
As strobe lights flashed, John Taylor encouraged the crowd to clap in time, before Duran Duran launched into "Sound of Thunder".
After a cover version of "White Lines" and a brief break, the band returned for two encores, "Girls on Film" and "Rio".
Tickets for the event cost around €26.00.
