"This is what it felt like: the band are halfway through playing their first single, Planet Earth when, from the high reaches of the theatre, Tik & Tok slowly descend on nearly invisible wires. We hang suspended above the band & their 3,000 strong audience of (predominantly female) screaming fans, rotating slowly like satellites from 2001. The harness that enables us to achieve this entrance cuts into my genitals is a most disquieting way. I look across at Sean on the other side of the stage & he's managed to achieve an upside down position with his hair curtaining southwards on either side of his face. The kids go berserk when they see us & most of the band is quite surprised & impressed too." "Continuum: The 'Star Wars' Phenomenon As Experienced From The Inside", by Tim Dry. |
