"Throb" is an instrumental by Duran Duran, released as the B-side to their single "Violence of Summer (Love's Taking Over)" by Capitol-EMI on 23 July 1990.

About the instrumental[]

This is an ambient dance instrumental remix of the Liberty album track "My Antarctica", with the title "Throb" coming from lyrics in that song. The track wasn't included on the Liberty album.

The instrumental was composed by Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Warren Cuccurullo, Nick Rhodes and Sterling Campbell, who also all co-produced the track with Chris Kimsey.

Recorded at London's Olympic Studios in 1989, "Throb" was part of the first Duran Duran single that EMI really promoted with a mixture of formats comprising of two 12" singles, a 7" single, cassette and CD.
