The Shades of a 1000 Steel is an unofficial Arcadia album, featuring a collection of So Red the Rose remix tracks recorded by English artist MRBB.
About the album[]
The album includes the track "The Promise" (Dream Reprise), which features samples of a 17-minute public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered on 28 August 1963. In the speech, he called for racial equality and an end to discrimination.
The artwork for the EP came about while MRBB was creating an alternate cover for the Heaven's Eyes promo. He sat for hours listening to the album and took inspiration from the lyrics "The shades of a 1000 steel flashing by my face in the fury of war" from "The Promise". The black background and cold colours of the title and logo represent the darkness of war, while the heart logo replicates just how quickly life can flash by when faced with great peril (such as war).
