The Final Show is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at The Beacon Theatre in New York, NY, USA on 31 August 1987.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at The Beacon Theatre, a 2,829 venue located on upper Broadway in Manhattan. This was the last of five shows performed in the state of New York on the tour.

The show was a charity event for The Association To Benefit Children. According to John Taylor the band thought the concert was the last of the tour, but just over four months later Duran Duran played two dates in South America. The audience received flyers detailing the event, which were placed on the backs of seats.

During the evening, Lou Reed appeared as special guest to sing "Sweet Jane" with Duran Duran. He also performed lead guitar on the track, with Simon Le Bon singing backing vocals.

The album features the master recording of the Startrak Profile - Pop Concert: 88-01 radio broadcast without spoken words. This recording was also released in the 1980s as a vinyl bootleg called Live At Madison Square Garden, but the album was actually recorded at The Beacon Theatre.

Tickets for the event cost around $25.00.
