Ted Jensen is an American mastering engineer, whose work has included Duran Duran albums.
Biography[]
After a stint as a hi-fi equipment designer with Mark Levinson, Ted began his mastering career with Sterling Sound (New York) in 1976. Almost immediately, Ted rose to prominence with a string of hits, including The Eagles' "Hotel California" and Billy Joel's "The Stranger".
Promoted to chief engineer in 1984, he later won the first-ever Grammy awarded for mastering in 2002 for his work on Norah Jones' multi-platinum album, Come Away With Me.
Other work mastered by Ted include The Police's Ghost In the Machine, Madonna's Madonna, Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals and Duran Duran's Liberty.
