Strange Behaviour: Stuttgart is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart, Germany on 5 April 1987.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Schleyerhalle, a 15,500 capacity venue located at Mercedesstraße 69 70372 in Stuttgart. This was the first of seven shows performed in Germany on the tour.

Performing at the largest event hall in the southern region of Germany, Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes came on stage to an explosion of sound from the crowd.

Duran Duran then delivered the Bond-movie single "A View to a Kill", a song co-written by John Barry. Nick Rhodes provided the haunting synth lines and Warren Cuccurullo played the song’s twangy guitar riffs.

The album is missing the first two songs from the setlist.

Throughout the night, the band mixed most of their greatest hits with new songs. In total, seven tracks from Notorious were played.

As one of Duran Duran's signature tracks, "Hungry Like the Wolf" received a roar of cheering from the crowd. John Taylor’s bass popped to the forefront of the mix, sending waves of danceable groove all over the venue.

"The Reflex" was the set closer, a single remix by Nile Rodgers which was his first work with the band.

The album front cover features lyrics from "God (London)", a spoken word track released as the B-side to "Do You Believe in Shame?" in 1989.
