Schuur Fire is an album by Diane Schuur featuring the Caribbean Jazz Project, released in the USA by Concord Picante during 2005.
The album features a cover version of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World".
About the album[]
This is a cover album by American jazz singer and pianist Diane Schuur, who grew up in suburban Seattle, Washington. She started singing when she was two-and-a-half, and by age nine, was getting professional gigs.
Diane Schuur brings together an unexpected mix of compositions on Schuur Fire. Featuring the Caribbean Jazz Project, the album finds Schuur's clarion vocals melding with vibist Dave Samuels' Latin jazz ensemble.
"Ordinary World" is a classic jazz arrangement, supplying a four block harmony via mult-vocal overdubbing.
