Saratoga 2009 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Summer Tour at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, USA on 8 July 2009.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Mountain Winery, a 1750 capacity open air venue located in Pierce Road. This was the second of three shows performed by the band in the state of California on the tour.

After electropop band The Limousines opened the show, Duran Duran walked on stage to cheers from the audience at around 9:00pm. Featuring the historic Californian winery building as the backdrop, the band began their 2 hour-set with "The Wild Boys" and "Hold Back the Rain".

The Michael Jackson Memorial Service was held the previous day and Simon Le Bon dedicated "Do You Believe in Shame?" to the late singer, who died several weeks earlier on the 25 June.

Near the end of the show, Duran Duran returned to the stage for the encore with Le Bon wearing a white tuxedo jacket & black tie for "A View to a Kill", from the James Bond movie. Stage lights flashed white for the final song of the evening "Girls on Film".

Tickets for the event cost around $106.25.
