San Francisco 27.10.1985 is an unofficial Duran Duran live 12" vinyl picture disc album, recorded during The Rio Tour at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, UK on 15 November 1982.
About the album[]
This is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Hammersmith Odeon, a 5,039 capacity venue located at 45 Queen Caroline Street in London. The show was the fourteenth date of twenty seven performed in the UK on the tour.
The album was mislabeled as San Francisco 27.10.1985. This date is also an error because after Live Aid on the 13 July 1985, Duran Duran didn't perform again on stage until 16 March 1987 in Fukuoka, Japan.
Highlights of this show were broadcast by BBC Radio in 1982 using the BBC Rock Hour 404 vinyl album. There was also a later version aired on the BBC Rock Hour 83, which was the same show but with a longer intro.
The record was released as a picture disc, featuring the same image of Simon Le Bon on both sides.
