Rotterdam 1987 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands on 7 May 1987.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Ahoy, a 15,000 capacity venue located at Ahoyweg 10 3084 BA in Rotterdam. This was the first of two concerts performed in the Netherlands on the tour.
Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, backed by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, drummer Steve Ferrone, three horn players and two backing singers opened with a rousing version of "A View to a Kill".
The set was a blend of material from Notorious, mixed with their biggest hits and fan favorites.
Five tracks from this show were later released in the USA on the 12" vinyl EP Duran Goes Dutch.
Tickets for the event cost around 35.00 Dutch guilders.
The tour poster features Duran Duran photography by Matthew Rolston.
