Room 7609 is an unofficial Duran Duran limited edition 12" vinyl live album, released in Argentina by GD Records during 2009.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Paradiso Club, a rock music venue housed in a converted former church building that dates from the nineteenth century.
This was the last date of The First European Tour, before Duran Duran left to play their first ever shows in the USA.
The recording was taken from a radio show broadcast, featuring the band's fourth concert outside the UK. Included are fast and powerful live tracks, with clear vocals performed by Simon Le Bon.
The evening also included Ton Lebbink, an artist perhaps best known as drummer of Mecano, and bouncer of the Paradiso Club.
Tickets for the event cost 7.50 fl.
The title Room 7609 was taken from lyrics in "Late Bar", a song featured on this record.
