Quiet Room were an American Post Punk band from Palo Alto in California, consisting of Philip Peters, David Sampson, Don Romine, Simon Asato and Bart Thurber.
The band were a support act for Duran Duran in 1981.

Founded by Philip Peters, Quiet Room were produced by Paul Draper of The Sleepers from 1980 to 1983 and recorded on WIN Records.
Quiet Room started out playing shows with The Sleepers, Romeo Void, Half Church, Group 87 and The Start. Soon they shared the bill with Duran Duran, REM, Echo and the Bunny Men, Gang of Four, The Fall and The Stranglers just to name a few.
The show with Duran Duran at the I-Beam in 1981 was on their first tour of the USA.
