Presented by Simona Ventura, the show is broadcast by RAI 2 on Sunday afternoon during the activity period of the Italian football championship. Included are musical guests, plus sports journalists who report on crucial moments from matches.
Two days after performing at the Vogue.it & Comune di Milano show in Milan, Duran Duran were guests on Quelli che il Calcio e.... The band began with the title track to All You Need Is Now, a no.1 on the iTunes Italy Top 100 Albums Chart in December 2010.
The show continued with presenter Simona Ventura interviewing the four original members, which included questions about Duran Duran's 30 year history and how producer Mark Ronson had changed their sound.
Duran Duran's appearance finished with a performance of "Save A Prayer", a song first played live on tour in Italy almost 24 years earlier at the Palermo show on 28 May 1987.
