The Prince's Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by The Prince of Wales to help young people.The young people helped by The Prince's Trust are the long-term unemployed, people who have been in trouble with the law, people who are in difficulty at school, and people who have been in care. These young people are considered by the Prince's Trust to have a disadvantaged background and are generally referred to by The Prince's Trust as being disadvantaged. Some young people who are employed also go on Prince’s Trust courses as a training and development opportunity funded by their employer, but they can only attend if their employer pays course fees to The Prince’s Trust.
Duran Duran connections[]
On 20 July 1983 Duran Duran performed at the Prince's Trust Rock Gala attended by Prince Charles and Princess Diana, which was held at the Dominion Theatre in London (UK) and featured the band's first live performance of "Is There Something I Should Know?".
"The Reflex" was included on The Prince's Trust Collection album, released in 1985.
Duran Duran performed at the 2003 inaugural Fashion Rocks show to raise funds for the Prince's Trust, which was held at the Royal Albert Hall on 15 October and attended by The Prince of Wales.
