Michael James Owen Pallett (born 7 September 1979) is a Canadian composer, violinist, keyboardist, and vocalist, whose work has included string arrangements on Duran Duran's All You Need Is Now album.

Biography[]

Born in Toronto to a church-organist father, Pallett began playing the piano when he was three and grew up studying violin in a childhood steeped in classical composition. He studied Composition at the University of Toronto and joined a pop band called Picastro. After leaving university in 2002 Pallett then fronted the band Les Mouches, who released the album You're Worth More To Me Than 1000 Christians in 2004.

Other work includes releasing his first solo album Has a Good Home under the name Final Fantasy in 2005, and later in 2009 working with Win Butler and Régine Chassagne on the score for Richard Kelly's film The Box.
