Ogden Theatre, Denver is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The All You Need Is Now Tour at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO, USA on 20 April 2011.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Ogden Theatre, a 1,300 capacity venue located at 935 East Colfax Avenue in the neighborhood of City Park West. This was the first show performed by the band in the state of Colorado on the tour.
In the tightly packed confines of the Ogden Theatre, Duran Duran took to the stage on this Wednesday night and opened the show with "Planet Earth". "Ogden, you feeling good tonight. We're gonna make you feel a little better." Simon Le Bon shouted as the band launched into the second song "Hungry Like the Wolf".
Next, they worked through their new album’s title track "All You Need Is Now" and "Being Followed", a funky meditation on paranoia, before diving into "Notorious". Le Bon danced as he sang, full of James Bond swagger.
Duran Duran wrapped up the set with an explosive version of "Rio". They then returned for an encore that included the film hit "A View to a Kill" and an extended remix of "Girls on Film". The lengthy number included band intros, a drum solo and a mini-cover of Lady Gaga’s "Poker Face".
Tickets for the event cost around $49.50.
The bootleg is incomplete, missing "Being Followed", "Leave A Light On", "Blame the Machines" and "Ordinary World" from the setlist.
Duran Duran continued the tour two days later, playing the Epic show in Minneapolis, USA on 22 April 2011.
