Now & Zen 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at the Now & Zen Fest, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA, USA on 25 September 2005.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of an acoustic performance by members of Duran Duran in Golden Gate Park, an urban park configured as a rectangle over three miles long.

This was the second time members of Duran Duran had performed at the Now & Zen Fest, an annual event sponsored by the San Francisco based commercial radio KLLC (97.3 FM, "Alice@97.3"). The band's previous appearance was Now & Zen 2003.

The other acts at the festival included Maroon 5, Josh Kelley, and Natasha Bedingfield. Maroon 5 would later perform with Duran Duran at the Figali Convention Center, Panama show on 18 November 2008.

Returning to California after a series of Astronaut Tour shows in the early 2005, Simon Le Bon, Andy Taylor and John Taylor took to the small intimate festival stage and opened with "Chains".

The next song "Hungry Like the Wolf" had the crowd singing along. Another track from Rio finished this short informal set.
