New York '94 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Dilate Your Mind Tour at the Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, USA on 13 January 1994.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Radio City Music Hall, a 6,015 capacity venue located in New York City's Rockefeller Center. The show was part of eleven US dates performed by Duran Duran in 1994.

James, the Manchester, UK group led by vocalist Tim Booth kicked off the evening with a set that included their hit "Sit Down".

This was the last of three sold-out nights at the Radio City Music Hall on tour for Duran Duran, who played a high energy show that lasted almost 2 hours. The band, led by Simon Le Bon on vocals, John Taylor on bass and Nick Rhodes on keyboards, along with long time guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, were precise on the sound and had the audience on their feet for the whole evening.

Duran Duran touring with their newest release, Duran Duran, played a number of songs from the album, including, "Too Much Information", a song with lyrics that deal mainly with the commercialisation of the music industry.

In addition to this, the band performed some of their greatest hits, such as "Notorious", "A View to a Kill", "Hungry Like the Wolf", and their debut single, "Planet Earth".

Duran Duran finished the show with an encore that featured a rare performance of the guitar instrumental "Watermelon In Easter Hay", played by Warren Cuccurullo as a tribute to his former band friend Frank Zappa who died on 4 December 1993.

Tickets for the event cost around $35.00.
