Brite Futures, formerly known as Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, were an American indie/electronica band from Seattle who formed in 2005. They were very short-lived, only releasing three studio albums, an EP and a collection of B-sides before splitting up in 2012.

The band's original name is taken from actress Natalie Portman, who famously had her head shaved in the film V for Vendetta.

The band was formed by Luke Smith and Shaun Libman at The Center School in Seattle in 2005. The name "Natalie Portman's Shaved Head" was chosen on a whim in the school's food court. They started out with just keyboards and drum machines, but soon gained three more members and developed their musical ability. In 2008, they released their debut album Glistening Pleasure, which was received favourably as being reminiscent of Devo and 1980s music.

On June 17, 2010, the band changed their name to Brite Futures, apparently because Natalie Portman was uneasy with her name being used in a band name. Their releases under this new moniker included a single "Dog Eared Summer", a rerelease of their debut album entitled Glistening Pleasure 2.0, and another album called Dark Past that arrived the following year. Unfortunately, Brite Futures felt as though their momentum had slowed and on May 15, 2012, they announced on their blog that they had broken up.

Duran DuranEdit

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head were the opening act for Duran Duran during certain dates of The Summer Tour in 2009. Their setlist mainly comprised songs from their debut album Glistening Pleasure.
