Musikfest 2000 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at Musikfest 2000, Riverplace Stage in Bethlehem, PA, USA on 11 August 2000.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Musikfest, a music festival that has been held each August in Bethlehem since 1984. The festival begins on the first Friday in August and ends on Sunday ten days later.

Held in front of 6,500 people, Duran Duran kicked off their Friday night show with "Last Day on Earth" from Pop Trash.

From 1982's "Hungry Like the Wolf" to 1993's "Ordinary World", the group composed of Le Bon, Rhodes and Cuccurullo pleased the crowd with 10 top-40 hits in a 18-song, 100-minute set.

The show saw Simon Le Bon wearing a glittery jacket and pink Elvis-style shades for a performance of "Hallucinating Elvis". During "Save A Prayer", giant images of Jesus and the Virgin Mary were projected.

Camera shutter clicking announced the beginning of "Girls on Film", a song that was followed by the show's finale "The Reflex".

Tickets for the event cost around $20.00.

Also available is a video and CDr version of this show called Ocean of Sound.
