Moscow 2001 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow, Russia on 1 February 2001.
About the album[]
The first part of the album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Olimpiyskiy Arena, a 25,000 concert capacity venue built for the 1980 Summer Olympics.
This was a historic show for Duran Duran, as it was the first time the band had performed in Russia. The event was broadcast on Russian TV.
The album only contains those songs aired during the broadcast, which also features Simon Le Bon speaking Russian.
The Russian concert ticket features Duran Duran photography by Ellen von Unwerth.
