Manila: April 10, 2008 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines on 10 April 2008.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Araneta Coliseum, a 16,500 capacity venue located in the Cubao area of Quezon City. This was the second of five Asian dates on the tour.
Duran Duran came out with all guns blazing, kicking off the concert with "The Valley". Simon Le Bon soon asked the audience "Is anybody hungry?", before the band launched into the crowd pleasing "Hungry Like the Wolf".
John Taylor used his pick to good use providing driving bass lines, while Roger Taylor struck the beats.
When the audience thundered for the obligatory encore, John Taylor commented "You sure know how to make noise", and mentioned that they should come back more often. Duran Duran then wrapped up the show with "The Wild Boys" and "Rio".
