Lovebox Weekend 2009 was a two day music festival featuring Duran Duran, held in Victoria Park, London, UK during the weekend of Saturday 18 July 2009.
The concert[]
Duran Duran headlined the Main Stage on Saturday 18 July as part of the band's Summer Tour. The event also included N*E*R*D and Florence and the Machine performing earlier.
At around 9:00pm Duran Duran appeared on stage with singer Simon Le Bon and keyboard player Nick Rhodes dressed in A Clockwork Orange-movie themed suits and top hats.
The show opened with "The Wild Boys", followed by a setlist that included many songs from the Red Carpet Massacre album.
During the evening Duran Duran played a cover version of Arcadia's "Election Day". "Ordinary World" was performed as green lasers pieced the sky, with Simon Le Bon later adding "We're a band designed to make you party".
The final part of the show included a James Bond medley featuring "A View to a Kill". Mark Ronson joined Duran Duran on stage for the encore, playing guitar on "A View to a Kill", "Planet Earth", "Girls on Film" and Chic's "Le Freak".
