Los Angeles, California: 7th February 1984 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Sing Blue Silver Tour at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA, USA on 7 February 1984.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at The Forum, a 18,000 capacity venue located at 3900 West Manchester Blvd in Inglewood. This was the second of seven shows performed in the state of California on the tour.
After the instrumental intro of "Tiger Tiger", giant curtains slid apart to reveal Duran Duran on stage. As they launched into "Is There Something I Should Know?", the band were greeted with a wall of noise from the audience.
The show continued with "Hungry Like the Wolf", played as an overhead screen projected live shots. John Taylor gave a solid bottom end to the rhythm and Nick Rhodes added the synths.
During the concert "The Reflex" and "New Religion" were recorded, tracks which were later released on various B-sides.
The album is incomplete, missing the two encore songs of "Rio" and "Girls on Film".
Tickets for the event cost from around $13.50.
