London Forum is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Reunion Tour at the London Forum in Kentish Town, London, UK on 14 October 2003.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the London Forum, a 2,300 capacity venue that was built in 1934. This was the first London show to feature the original five band members for almost 20 years, the previous was at Wembley Arena on 23 December 1983.

There were over 200,000 requests for tickets costing £25.00. Fans even camped out to try to secure a ticket, with some changing hands for many times the face value.

The lights went down and smoke blew out onto the stage. The screams from the audience were deafening. Then the five original members of Duran Duran stood shoulder to shoulder, illuminated only by explosive camera flashes.

Kicking off their set with "Friends of Mine" from their debut album Duran Duran, Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor played through a mix of hits, album cuts and new material, sending the crowd into massive sing-alongs.

During the second song "Hungry Like the Wolf", Simon Le Bon managed to rip apart a small tambourine.

The band were low on chat, packing hits like "Planet Earth" and "Hungry Like the Wolf" near the beginning of the show. Midset saw new songs "What Happens Tomorrow" and "Virus", before building back up with a storming "The Wild Boys" and "Careless Memories".

"New Religion" returned to their live set after a long absence, and "Night Boat" sounded just as penetrating live as on record.

Le Bon finished the concert by saying "This is the best homecoming I've ever had".

In November, Duran Duran continued with a 16-city tour in the USA, followed in December by a supporting slot for Robbie Williams in Australia, where they hadn't played in 20 years.
