London: IV 2004 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Reunion Tour at Wembley Arena in London, UK on 30 April 2004.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Wembley Arena, a 12,500 capacity indoor venue located in the London Borough of Brent. This was the 15th of sixteen UK dates on the tour.

The show was part of a series played at Wembley Arena that were filmed for the 2004 Live from London DVD. The Wembley shows featured all five original band members returning to the venue, after a gap of more than 20 years.

The lights in Wembley Arena dropped, plunging the cheering hordes into darkness. For several minutes there was a low, bass drone noise. Nothing else. Then in a carefully choreographed manner, the five original members of Duran Duran, each dressed from head to toe in black, slowly walked to the front of the stage. They stood, side by side, hands behind their backs. Not smiling, not waving, not speaking.

As the opening moments of the new track "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise" kicked in, Duran Duran jogged back to their respective stage positions, took up their instruments and launched the show.

The set spanned Duran Duran entire career and was not simply a run through their hit singles. Including the opening song, material from their next album due out in the autumn was played very early.

During the show there was an extended rendition of "The Chauffeur", complete with a remixed video projected onto a huge screen behind the stage. "Careless Memories" featured a violent piece of anime that depicted the five band members battling deadly ninjas and monsters, created by Fumio Obata and Gary Oldknow.

Scissor Sisters opened the show and tickets cost around £40.00.
