Live In Uruguay is an unofficial Duran Duran live DVD, recorded during An Acoustic Evening Tour at the General Artigas Train Station in Montevideo, Uruguay on 6 May 1993.
About the DVD[]
The DVD is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the General Artigas Train Station, the former central railway station of Montevideo that closed on 1 March 2003. This was Duran Duran's first ever show performed in the South American country of Uruguay.
The evening kicked off with Los Vidrios, an Uruguayan rock who formed in 1985.
Watched by many thousands, Duran Duran took to the open air stage and launched their first ever show in Uruguay with "Planet Earth". The DVD is missing this track, which begins with "Hungry Like The Wolf".
Backed by a string section, the band played acoustic arrangements of their biggest hits, album favorites and songs from their latest release, Duran Duran.
Track 11 "Success" (Intro) is a funny jam session with the band reworking and remodeling "Too Much Information".
Duran Duran closed the show with their ultimately defining hit "Rio".
