Live In Paris 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at Le Zénith in Paris, France on 1 June 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Le Zénith, a 7,000 capacity venue located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. This was the first show performed by the original five band members in France since 14 October 1982.

Orange, red and violet lights flashed in sequence over the stage, as Duran Duran launched the show with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". The stage then came alive with strobe lights and mist when the band followed with "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Taking the audience all the way back to their 1981 self-titled debut album, "Planet Earth was next. As John Taylor played the bouncy bass lines and Nick Rhodes punctuated the song with his near-trademark synth sound.

Towards the end of the evening Simon Le Bon stumbled during "The Wild Boys", a song that was followed by an encore of "Girls on Film" and "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around €49.50.
