Live Cuts: no. 29 is a radio show album featuring Duran Duran, released in the USA by the D.I.R. Broadcasting Corp. during 1984.

About the album[]

Issued in a plain white sleeve with a cue sheet for radio presenters, the album was used for licence broadcast during the week of January 30, 1984.

The compilation includes a live performance of "Rio" by Duran Duran, one of the band's most recognisable songs. This was mostly due to its music video directed by Russell Mulcahy, which is widely regarded as symbolic of 1980s glamour and excess.

Also included is Squeeze featuring musician Jools Holland, who later interviewed Duran Duran on several occasions for The Tube.
