Live At Wembley Arena is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Reunion Tour at Wembley Arena in London, UK on 13 April 2004.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Wembley Arena, a 12,500 capacity indoor venue located opposite Wembley Stadium. This was the first of five shows performed at the venue on the tour.

The show was part of a series played at Wembley Arena that were filmed for the 2004 Live from London DVD. The Wembley shows featured all five original band members returning to the venue, after a gap of more than 20 years.

The concert started with Duran Duran standing at the front of the stage, each member illuminated in their own plume of light. The band soon kicked off the show with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise", a song featured on the soundtrack to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy that wasn't yet shown on UK terrestrial TV.

The audience were next treated to "Hungry Like the Wolf", setting the tone for the whole evening - a mix of well-known classics and new songs. During "Hungry Like the Wolf", Simon Le Bon moved around, worked the crowd and made sure every part of the stage was covered.

After "Come Undone", Duran Duran played the Bond-movie theme "A View to a Kill", whilst screens behind the stage showed a mini film featuring a seductive female.

The audience in the sold out Wembley Arena were on their feet for "New Religion". The next song needed no introduction. The first "Please, please tell me now" was enough to bring another roar of applause from the crowd, who then joined Le Bon in singing "Is There Something I Should Know?".

The pace was kept up with a funky version of "I Don't Want Your Love", featuring backing singer Joanne Yearwood.

"The Chauffeur" was the next, with the video screens showing Le Bon playing his panpipes. "Beautiful Colours", and again the screens came alive with flowers in all colours.

Duran Duran closed out the show with an encore featuring "Rio".

English electronic duo Goldfrapp opened the show and tickets for the event cost around £40.00.
