Live At The Empire Ballroom: 17th May 1987 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Empire Ballroom in London, UK on 17 May 1987.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Empire Ballroom, a 1330 capacity venue located in Leicester Square, London. This was the first of four shows performed in London on the tour.

With no opening act the show began at 10:00pm, the evening before Duran Duran played three consecutive nights at London's Wembley Arena.

The atmosphere of this late performance was very informal. Simon Le Bon started the show by saying "I'm sorry for the delay, but Nick missed his bus". Duran Duran then launched into the most successful Bond-movie single, "A View to a Kill".

This show was originally released as The Finest Hour vinyl album in the 1980s. That version does not include "The Chauffeur", which features on this bootleg.

Tickets for the event cost £12.00, which were printed with Duran Duran photography by Matthew Rolston.
