Live At The Bayou Club is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The First American Tour at The Bayou in Washington, DC, USA on 22 September 1981.
The album was released in Finland by the DD Fan Club during 2004 and reissued (remastered) in 2006.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at The Bayou, a former nightclub venue located at 3135 K Street, NW, in Georgetown, Washington.
The show was the only date performed in the District of Columbia on the tour.
This is a limited edition album that captures the original line-up of Duran Duran, which is almost the only complete recording from their First American Tour. The show was the 4th date of the tour, that started six nights earlier on the 16 September in Long Island, New York.
The recording is from a WHFS Radio broadcast, which features 11-tracks including Duran Duran's debut 1981 single "Planet Earth". Also included is a transition between "Fame" and "Night Boat", plus a recording of an "on air" interview with Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes prior to the show.
The CD was released with a unique picture sleeve and liner notes detailing the event. The reissue version also included a Japanese style obi-strip.
