Layer Cake (soundtrack) is a compilation album featuring Duran Duran, released by EMI on 27 September 2004.

About the album[]

This is the movie soundtrack to the 2004 British gangster film Layer Cake, directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring James Bond-actor Daniel Craig.

The film centers on a cocaine distributor played by Craig who also narrates the film, operating a successful business in London buying, cutting and selling cocaine while avoiding the attention seeking gangster behaviour associated with drug dealing. Having made his fortune, he secretly plans to retire from the business for good.

The soundtrack includes Duran Duran's "Ordinary World", which features in the film during a violent cafe scene. The album also includes Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head" played in the movie during a nightclub scene with Daniel Craig and Sienna Miller.
