Kobe 1989: Third Night is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Big Live Thing Tour at the Kinen World Hall in Kobe, Japan on 17 February 1989.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Kinen World Hall, a venue also known as Kobe Port Island Hall and Kobe Memorial Hall that's located on the Port Island in Kobe. This was the third of five shows performed in Japan on the tour.

After an intro recording of "God (London)", Duran Duran launched the show with two songs from their latest album Big Thing. An energetic performance of "Hungry Like the Wolf" followed, greeted with cheers and screams from the audience.

During the evening there was a back-to-back performace of Arcadia's "Election Day" and The Power Station's "Some Like It Hot". Duran Duran then played a medley featuring the recent 1988 single "All She Wants Is", followed by their debut release "Planet Earth".

Duran Duran closed the show with the Colin Thurston produced "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around 8,500 Japanese Yen.
