Jingle Ball 2004 is an unofficial Duran Duran live DVD, recorded at the Jingle Ball, Cox Arena in San Diego, CA, USA on 3 December 2004.
About the DVD[]
The DVD is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Cox Arena, a 12,000 capacity venue located on the San Diego State University (SDSU) campus.
This was Duran Duran's second appearance at the Jingle Ball, a Christmas benefit show held annually in San Diego. The event was originally staged at the city's 1,500 seat '4th & B', before growing in size.
The concert began with various acts including Sarah McLachlan, who played without a band. The singer crammed her set with crowd favorites such as "Building A Mystery" and "Ice Cream".
Each act had about 20 minutes each, and they were watched by an audience with many wearing fluorescent green necklaces.
5 years after playing Jingle Ball '99, Duran Duran took to the stage and headlined the show.
Looking stylish in black suits, the band immediately powered through a handful of fresh material.
Those who stuck around for the entire five-hour event were then treated to a barrage of classic Duran Duran, including the strobe-light-heavy "The Reflex" and "Rio".
