Jersey 1988 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Big Live Thing Tour at Fort Regent, St. Helier in Jersey, UK on 13 November 1988.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at Fort Regent in St. Helier, a venue located on the British Crown Dependency island off the coast of Normandy, France. This was the first and only ever show performed by Duran Duran on the island of Jersey.
The album recording was taken from two radio broadcasts, which only features the first three songs from the setlist.
Supported by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, drummer Sterling Campbell, two horn players and two backing singers, Duran Duran kicked off the show at 8:00pm with the title track to their latest release Big Thing. Both Warren Cuccurullo and Sterling Campbell were hired for the tour and later became full members of Duran Duran at the end of 1989.
The album finishes with "Hungry Like the Wolf", a song which reached no.5 on the UK Singles Chart.
Tickets for the event cost £10.00.
The poster features Duran Duran photography by Noëlle van der Lende.
