Biography[]
Izzi is from a musical family, her mother was a classically trained opera singer and her father an old fashioned entertainer. She grew up in Hasting, East Sussex with parents who would play a lot of classical music and Jazz, such as Stan Kenton and Sinatra. This helped Izzi to take up the cello at the aged 9.
Years of band play, sessions and concerts followed, which opened the doors for Izzi to play with some of the most talented musicians to come out of British music. From Wookie and MJ Cole, to rapper Roots Manuva and producer Kaidi Tatham. She released her debut album The Big Picture in 2003. Other work includes collaborations and tours with the Gorillaz, Mark Ronson and The Good, The Bad And The Queen.
In 2011, she performed with Duran Duran during their BBC Radio 2 Broadcast and on the special One Night Only TV show.
