Italian Behaviour is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Stadio Comunale in Modena, Italy on 4 June 1987.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Stadio Comunale, a 21,151 capacity venue that's home of Modena Football Club. This was the first and only ever show performed by Duran Duran in Modena.
Touring Italy for the first time, Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes came on stage to an explosion of sound from the crowd. Duran Duran opened with the most successful Bond-movie single "A View to a Kill", a no.1 hit in Italy.
Soon the band were performing cover versions of Arcadia's "Election Day" and The Power Station's "Some Like It Hot".
During "Save A Prayer", the crowd sang along with Le Bon on the chorus "Don't say a prayer for me now, save it 'til the morning after".
The track "When I Was A Little Boy", is spoken word introduction for "Skin Trade" by Le Bon. He talks about his mother wanting him to get a proper job.
The evening finished with an encore featuring "The Wild Boys", another Italian no.1 single.
Tickets for the event cost around 22,500 lira, which features Duran Duran photography by John Swannell.
