House of Blues, Chicago is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The All You Need Is Now Tour at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, USA on 23 April 2011.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the House of Blues, a 1,500 capacity venue located at 329 North Dearborn Street in Chicago. This was the first show performed by the band in the state of Illinois on the tour

Almost three years after playing the Rosemont Theatre show in Chicago on 14 May 2008, Duran Duran returned to the city located near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed.

Duran Duran took to the stage at the House of Blues, a theatre featuring gold leaf decorated balconies. Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor were first to appear, before the band launched into the opening track "Planet Earth". The song was well received by the audience from the very first chord, and then the show continued with another crowd pleaser "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Two new tracks from All You Need Is Now followed, including "Blame the Machines" which Simon Le Bon said was about paranoia. John Taylor gave the introduction to "Leave A Light On". He said the band had been coming to Chicago for 30 years and that this song was about those 30 years and the next.

"Chicago!, show us what you've got" was the cry from Le Bon, as the band played "Girl Panic!", a song released as a 7" vinyl record the previous week.

The show finished with a lengthy version of "Girls on Film". Duran Duran continued the tour two days later, playing the Phoenix Concert Theatre Show in Toronto, Canada on 25 April 2011.
