Glue: a tribute to the Music of Duran Duran is a cover song album featuring songs by Duran Duran, released in the USA by Serious Vanity Music on 5 January 1999.

About the album[]

The album is a collection of Duran Duran songs performed as a tribute to the band by various artists, with a percentage of the proceeds going to The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network charity.

After the release in 1997 of The Duran Duran Tribute Album in the USA, many fans were unhappy with the various genre styles on that album and vented their disapproval through the internet eventually putting the wheels in motion for a new tribute release. Glue was made by fans for fans and was available from the online distributors CD Baby featuring indie acts.

The album's title Glue originated after the Duran Duran's guitarist Warren Cuccurullo was asked in an interview the question "What kept Duran Duran together after all these years?", he replied "The music is the glue".
